Yesterday I went Fishing with my friend thinking it would be a normal day of me fishing and catching small bluegills and one or two bass, but that was not the case today.
The week before I bought 2 new lures and a pack of small hooks. I bought a white spinnerbait and a Rooster tail with a golden spoon, orange body and a green tail. Although I did not use the Rooster tail that day. We started of with the spinnerbait in my neighborhood pond and the fish where really wanting it judging by the bites. After about an hour of fishing the spinnerbait in the shallow areas I was getting tired with that pot so while I was moving to the deeper side of the pond and my friend with the net walking on the other side While I was walking I casted right near the fountain, and not 4 seconds in of reeling I felt a tug on the other side of the line and there I was as my rod was slipping out of my hands as the fishing was pulling my entire body closer to the water. I quickly put the handle under my armpit from it trying to fly out of my hands. I was yelling for my friend to run towards me. When the fish got closer it finally stopped, I thought it got of the hook. Though when I was reeling in the lure there was something stopping it from moving at all. So I yanked rod with enough power that the fish started swimming away but I finally got it on land with all of my might. As the fish ascended from the water I could not believe what just happened. When I was pulling the Largemouth bass up from its lips I felt the teeth digging into my thumb but that pain did not ruin the moment. After we took pictures and videos we let the fish go.

After a couple more tries at that spot we got nothing so we switched to another pond where there were many small minnows that we used as live bait to catch bluegills. So we gathered the minnows and started fishing. We then caught 2 bluegills one big and one small and that was how we ended our day.
