Driving..I mean, Drawing through Summer

This summer, I had to find a way to relax and enjoy myself beyond what has been a very hectic, yet productive summer. I have retaken a Biology course online to bring my grade up to an A, SAT preparation for next month, swim practice, driving tests, and many enjoyable flying lessons towards a Private Pilot License have all kept me quite busy. One thing that relaxes me most is when I can draw one of my favorite subjects – CARS. I have always had a passion for drawing since I was little. Although, I have slowly made progress and started scaling my drawing larger as well. I am now using 18×24-inch sheets. For my medium, I use a combination of alcohol markers and Faber-Castell as well as Crayola color pencils. I use the markers as a base layer and as my blending instrument. I then add depth to my drawing using colored pencils layered on top of the marker layer. As a result, I get extremely vibrant and detailed drawings.

Tell me which ones you like best. and they’re also for sale if you’re interested.

Below, was selected for display at the Congressional Art Competition on Capitol Hill, through Congresswoman Wexton’s office, VA-10. I later came up with the perfect photo title – “LDN” for Loudoun County, where you see all this fanciness pass you on the roads, being of course the wealthiest county in Virginia, but it had already gone for framing.
